Arizona-Sonora outpost: 1880:
Her adoring husband promises love, status, camaraderie, wealth.
Her father predicts she'll cry to come home. Frieda experiences
sandstorms, flashfloods, hard work, heat, infidelity (hers),
chicanery, disappointment. She cries -- but not to go home.
